Hot-smoked salmon with an almond, salad cheese and herb crust
Hot-smoked salmon with a crispy topping of almonds, flavoursome herbs and Taverna Finest Salad Cheese makes the perfect everyday dish. All you have to do is top the salmon with the mix and bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes. It’s so quick and easy – try it yourself!
Method
Turn on the oven with grill to 200°C.
Mix the brine from the capers with honey.
Chop up the salad cheese, almonds, garlic and capers and fold it all into the capers brine.
Season with lemon zest, salt and pepper.
Pour the mixture over the salmon and bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
Sprinkle with chopped tarragon and basil and serve immediately, with freshly baked bread and butter if you wish.
